BME China

In the tenth edition of the annual Industrial Purchasing Week, the BME once again offered German buyers the possibility to efficiently expand the network in China and discuss potentials and challenges of far east sourcing. It took place from 19th to 24th of September. A sourcing conference was supplemented by a field trip and the International Sourcing Fair.

45 Purchasing Managers took part during the visit at TÜV Rheinland in Shanghai. BME presented the "Smart Logistic Award" and a boot camp for chinese procurement talents.

The leading experts from chinese steel industry met in Shanghai for discussing the current market conditions and perspectives in China.

The 49. Symposium Purchasing and Logistics took part in November 2014 in Berlin. With 2,000 participants, it is one of the largest events for purchasing and supply chain managers in Europe. It is accompanied by an exhibition with around 150 exhibitors.

The "9th BME China Sourcing Conference" was characterized by more than 100 foreign buyers, logistics and supply chain managers who discussed the opportunities and risks of the chinese procurement market. On the International Sourcing Fair, the BME was represented for the ninth time with buyers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Around 250 companies have participated since the start of the cooperation in 2006.

The BME Industrial Purchasing Week in 2O13 took part between September 9th and 13th. 54 companies joined the BME and the local trade fair organizer ISPC during the International Sourcing Fair. Around 8,000 suppliers passed the hubs of the exhibition complex on the busy Yan'an Road.

With more than 200 participants the conference was the largest BME Summit in China since 2006. 38 companies have participated with own booths at this year’s ISF at the BME European Sourcing Area.
